where is this 29 roadster pickup?
In 1957 when I was 15 I bought a 29 roadster pickup from "behind the gas station." Instead of hotrodding it I restored it except I painted the frame white and the engine red.
It was complete...

A handy tip for masking off complex things like distributors or even that oil pipe is to wrap them in aluminum foil. Much easier than tape and very effective.

Re: Frozen motor - melting out pistons
Since you've soaked it take the crankshaft out. Get a piece of wood about the size of the bore and stick it into the cylinder. A big hammer should take care of it, probably without breaking...

Re: Please point me to V8 60 info
There's remarkably little info out there on 60's - apparently Ford didn't even publish a shop manual.
Gears, bellhousings and all are different for 60's and 85's and won't hook up. You'll need...

Re: electric fuel pump
Thanks for the tips. The thread Fordy19 mentioned was the first time this pump gave out. Followed the advice then but got a diaphragm that totally dissolved. Some good info here. Thanks.

Re: Dick Spadaros' Health
Dick was very helpful to me and the V8-60 and went quite a bit out of his way to do it. Very much appreciated.
A very good guy. My best to him.

If you are benefiting from Ford engineering pat...

Re: Driving a LEFT Hand Brake 1928 Ford
Lots of cars of the A era had the brake on the left side. Specifically I've had a 1927 Hudson and 1930 Packard arranged that way. In addition to being in the way of your left leg it makes entrance...
