I once got 65 mpg ! Not in an A, filled the tank at the highway, drove 90 miles, filled the tank, did the math, 65 mpg! I had a tail wind speed limit 55 mph, the cloud shadow’s where pasting me!

I used Bill's sure fire steering wheel removal trick, well kinda, the wheel popped right off ! on to my nose, Bill laughted at me and said you forgot to have the nut loose not off!

The brake switch ok to be a cheap repo part, it doesn't have the brass bushing where the plunger comes through, remove and check it out and or buy a switch that has the brass bushings

Spark plugs sparking but not wet, carburetor gasket wet. If your compression is weak, it may not be sucking fuel into the clylinders. Squirt some fuel into the cylinders, replace the plugs and see...

When I was working in an aircraft engine repair shop doing valves and seats our technique for installing seats they would drop...

Low fuel flow would be my guess, fuel valve on, gas cap not venting, you could remove the carb drain and test for flow, more than a baby food jar use a quart jar.

I think ford mounted the coil terminal down to keep water out of the high tension terminal, he didn't use the rubber nipple on the coil wire, probably saved a penny or two!

Is it a iron or aluminum? If its aluminum polish it, iron paint it Chevy orange with a base coat of white, white because it'll make the orange pop!
