I ended up finding the sender at Joe's Antique Auto Parts (before I saw Kube's post). Hopefully it will work. Thanks for the replies.

Re: Bob Drake Repro 1940 Gas Tank - what sending unit to use?

Thanks, I ordered it over the phone looking at the item online, so I missed that. I called Drake and the senders are out of stock and will be back in 2 - 4 weeks.

These were in the trunk of a '40 Convertible. Can someone identify them?

Re: 40 Dash colors

Try Roy Nacewicz Enterprises. He had the correct color paint for my '40 Standard dash.

Re: BEWARE Of Drake's V8 Waterpumps

I put the Drake pumps on my '40 last spring and the driver side pump had the same problem with interference with the front cover. I didn't find that out until I had the pump painted and had the...

Re: Das Awkscht Fescht Pictures (Macungie PA)

I'm bringing my own food next year too. I hated having to wait in the extra line just for tickets. People were complaining about that all day.

Das Awkscht Fescht Pictures (Macungie PA)

This is always a good show. Usually hot, but it was a nice day on Saturday. There was a good turn out of old Fords. For some reason, this was the year a big group of '37s were showing.

Let's...

Re: 1940 Ford Sedan

Re: Removing the head off of a flathead

Is it in a running car? If so, thread some nuts back on (just a little), unhook the coil wire and hit the starter button. The compression should break it free. I had a blown head gasket and that's...

Re: Drake water pumps

I just installed the Drake pumps. The passenger side fit perfectly. The drivers side needed to be ground down for clearance because it hit the front cover. The interference was at the top of the...

Re: Jalopy Showdown

If you're bringing a stocker, you can't park in the infield. Unless it changed from previous years, stocks & street rods park outside by the stream and traditional hot rods park in the infield. ...
