Re: Costs for parts, grill, garnish moldings, hood? 1933 coupe

I agree on the window moldings being painted. I hope they can come to an agreement on the prices for everything. I feel like the grill would be near the top of the market. I should be getting some...

Re: Costs for parts, grill, garnish moldings, hood? 1933 coupe

The older guy sold the car without the parts several years ago. I think the guy who bought it already had parts for the car.

Re: Costs for parts, grill, garnish moldings, hood? 1933 coupe

I tried to look on ebay and the few prices I did see were more expensive than those above? I guess it depends on who's looking.

Costs for parts, grill, garnish moldings, hood? 1933 coupe

I have a friend who is building a 33 coupe and has been offered these parts. I am not up on prices, and he is an older guy and doesn't do the computer. I tried to do some research, but didn't find...

Re: Looking at buying a 33 five window coupe all ford metal.

The 347 crate engine comes with it as does the five speed. I think I would be much deeper into a flathead engine and transmission.

Re: Looking at buying a 33 five window coupe all ford metal.

How come this is frowned upon? Should I be using an original flathead engine? I love fatheads, but I think this 347 would be fun.

Re: Looking at buying a 33 five window coupe all ford metal.

Well I'm digging up an old thread on this 33 five window. I have made a deal to buy the car in a few weeks. I think that he has a lot of money and parts invested in the car. I am going to look at...

Re: Looking at buying a 33 five window coupe all ford metal.

I am not a person to say that I would never sell a car, so this does play into my decision.

I am worried about being buried in it if it's not the correct car for me. Even if I don't sell it, I...

Re: Looking at buying a 33 five window coupe all ford metal.

The owner has the original frame for the car. He is asking 20k for the car. I have the ability to do the body and paint work, but I still don't want to overspend on the car with it's parts if it's...

Re: Looking at buying a 33 five window coupe all ford metal.

No, I would have to buy the whole package.

Are there aftermarket belts for the cars? I agree, it can use better floors. I can do the body and paint work, so that's not a big worry.

Looking at buying a 33 five window coupe all ford metal.

I also posted this in the H.A.M.B forum, but thought I may get a little more response from this forum. One guy said the frame was crap and it was not straight. It does look to be curved, but I'm not...

Does anyone have an idea of what this top is off? Thanks

I posted a picture of my 30 with this top on it a few weeks back and most thought it was not a correct top for a 28-31 convertible.

Just checking to see if anyone knows what it might be from?

Re: Hi, new to site and I have a questions.

He said the top was worth $1800 and I felt it was way to high, that's why I asked the question about value. I hope the car is worth more than $1800 lol If it's not, then I screwed myself when buying...

Re: Hi, new to site and I have a questions.

The top is currently just sitting on the car and does not have the correct brackets to connect it yet.

No, I bought the car as you see it. I assume the top is long gone by the prior owner.

I...

Re: Hi, new to site and I have a questions.

That's what I thought when he told me his value, that's why I wanted to verify before posting with a stupid price. I will try to take some pictures later today. Thanks

Re: Hi, new to site and I have a questions.

The problem is, I am not sure what to post it for? Someone told me $1800, but that seems like an awful lot to me?
