Your truck would have left the factory with a mild steel shell painted black enamel . it would not have been the 31 passenger car style but same as 30 . The stainless 30 style shells are plentiful...

Years ago I forgot to refit the timing pin . After a short drive the engine was well covered in oil . I was amazed at how much oil had come out of that tiny hole !!! The pin was lost on the road...

The actuator shaft can be removed without turning the king pin . This can sometimes "wipe" the thread on one side . Normally the nut will thread back on could be the thread is damaged so run a die...

Would an early to about June 1930 closed cab pickup ( 68 A cab ) have left the factory with 19" wheels ? . 30/31 headlamps. bumper and twist on gas cap ? I know the gas cap could be both styles .

I use a little " Singer sowing machine oil " on the bendix . It is a very thin oil and never cause any hangups . Protects as well .

You are missing your rear hubcaps . They are nickel plated mild steel and not available in reproduction . I think you will find used on "ebay" etc etc . Just paint your front ones silver they will...
