Re: Fog Light Switch Help
Ah, I see the 'light'. You have the larger ones, what Unity refers to as F-1 (or similar) series 6". I have the smaller H-1 Series 5".
The replacement fixture is definitely a no go.

Re: Fog Light Switch Help
Carl, Yes, it's all good. Looking at Amazon, I'm not sure the LED you linked too will fit my fog lights. I am using a couple of buckets for 5" Unity Spotlights so the shape matches my spot light and...

Re: Fog Light Switch Help
I will check those out. I prefer the look of the amber lenses tho when the lights are off instead of the clear lense.

Re: Briggs Town Sedan Door Sills
It appears the Murray has a different door sill than the Briggs. The Briggs definitely uses screws, the holes are countersunk.
JayJay, Thanks for the heads up on the finish washers at MAC's. The...

Briggs Town Sedan Door Sills
A while back I got a set of NORS door sills for my '30 Briggs Town Sedan at an extremely good price. (Bratton's wants $180 for them). The other day I started to install them and noticed the ones on...

Re: ammeter problems
Can't say I have ever seen "a quality off the shelf ammeter that will fit the same opening"... If you know of one, please let us know.

Re: Grab handle
I certainly wish you were right!! It would give me less heartburn if I didn't have to drill holes. But I do need something to help the CEO to get in.

Re: Grab handle
The upper one appears to be half way between the dash rail mounting screws. My dash rail does not have a screw where the lower one is located.

Re: Marvel Carburetor
Same with the Marvel Schebler, soft metal. Ensure not to over tighten the screws. I only tighten the screws until the lock washer flattens, no more. I have been cutting my own gaskets also using...

Re: Grab handle
The one issue keeping me from fabing one is I don't want to drill mounting holes in my dash rail.

Re: rear brake track how do you check it
Nice tool GeneBob. I enjoy seeing tools people make.
I made a similar tool when I installed my FHT brake kit. Since the front tracks are not used with the FHT kit I only made a tool for the rear....

Re: Grab handle
I saw this grab handle 'somewhere' and always wanted to either find a similar one or fab one.. My CEO has a hard time getting in my Town Sedan. I think the shape of it looks sorta period correct.

Look thru Bratton's printed or online catalog. They usually list what size reamer (among other measurements in their parts description). For example front spindle bushings "Ream to .813" - .8135.

Re: leaking head gasket?
In the meantime I would suggest draining the water/coolant from the engine. You don't need any coolant leaking back into the cylinder(s) and possibly the oil pan while it sitting for the next three...
