Stromberg e-fire worth it?

I have read the comments on here regarding the new Stromberg e-fire distributor. Any other comments? Sounds like they can be adjusted/re-curved if need be. Is the quality there? I have heard both...

Re: Primary carb- Front or back?

Yes, this is the intake I am using. Front carb is centered, rear is way back. Currently using front as primary w/ 51 jets and 3.5 PV. Engine is .030 over w/ stock ford crank w/ max-1 cam.

Seems to...

Primary carb- Front or back?

Since my last post, I found two problems. A sticky valve (MMO works!) and a bad condenser. Running better but still backfiring through exhaust a little. Advanced Dist. about as far as it will go,...

Re: '47 running very rough

I finally got around to the compression check. Highest was #6 at 140psi, lowest was #3 at 115psi. I tried the MMO in the tank and drizzled in the primary carb while running, no help. I had to keep...

'47 running very rough

'59AB w/ Offy reg dual intake, max-1 cam. offy heads, fenton headers still 6 volt. Barely runs, backfires out pipes at lower rpm, better when faster. I switched back to stock distributor (Rebuilt by...

Re: Stumbles, Stalls Aughhh!

Was about 78 outside that day in mid michigan, engine was running at 195deg as usual. I turned idle up last time thinking it would help, it didn't. Stalls when coming to a stop almost every time....

Angry Stumbles, Stalls Aughhh!

'47 w/ regular dual intake, 2x 94's offy heads, Mallory dual point, mild cam, Skip's coil. Ran well last year except once in a while stalls when braking to a stop. Same thing this year but now worse,...
