If your water pump is rebuilt like an original, the packing nut should only be tightened enough to stop the water from leaking,

I believe that they are original and at some point in time caught on the shock adjusting screw. I have seen it before. I would heat it some and straighten it, if overall it is in usable shape.

The engine that was in your car originally was made on August 28, 1930. The number was stamped on the engine after it was run in. The engine was shipped from Dearborn to the various assembly plants....

There is no way to know the day of manufacture. You can estimate the month of manufacture with the engine / frame number. It is easier with a car that has the original interior, because there are...

At this point, you would have to use the frame number. The Slant Window Sedans started production in late March of 1931. If you do have a March of 1931 165-C then it was one of the last produced. ...

Here is a picture of my 1930 coupe's instrument panel light. It is bolted to the the back of the dash with the center dash bolt, you can see it just behind the bulb cover.

I found the felt washer/seal on my spare horn. The felt washer outside diameter is 5/8 ", the inside diameter is 5/16" and the thickness is 1/8".

I was missing one on my unrestored Victoria and I was able to work a bumper on to the original rivet by heating it and using a little grease.

They were introduced in November of 1929 for the 28-29 front fender and used through May of 1930 on commercial vehicles. A similar one was used through January 1930 for the 30-31 style front...

I mounted mine (1) on one of the window moulding screw on the vertical surface just behind the driver. I had to tilt the vace just a little to make it clear the window.
