You might try and rotate the distributor 180 degrees if needed as Shaft tongue & grooves are off set.
I have the same set up and did some dist shaft “tuning” to get best alignment with old worn out...

I am 50. My 30 Coupe was a gift my Dad when I was 14. I think I will get it out this weekend and teach my daughter to drive it....in a really big empty parking lot.

ME Miller Tire Paint is what I used and it looks authentic. Before painting clean the tires twice, three times if you have ever used ArmorAll or any tire dressing.

If you don't like the mothball smell use a repellant called Fresh Cab. It is made from Balsam Fir oil and works great and smells great.
