I've straightened front axles, wishbones, reversed springs, removed and installed bearings and bushings.



A press is one of those tools that once you have one you wonder how you ever lived...

Hi all,


I am looking for a 28/29 RPU body. Complete,needs assembly, just the cab or cab and bed. Prefer Henry steel, brookvile is nice but out of the budget.

Saw a bunch of vintage ford parts as well, good for the traditional rodder...

Did some more disassembly and found some more Industria Argentina markings. This time on the cam gear, looks like it's plastic.

Also got the crank out and found more pitting, old oil...

Hi Pluck,

Unfortunately it looks like it has been re stamped. You can feel where it was ground down on the pad as it is no longer flat.

Hi Steve,

I will get some pics this evening. It also has the early front timing cover that bolts directly to the front cross member and early oil pan with the clean out plate.

Thanks Guys, pics are worth a thousand words. Always wondered hoe the oil pan would come off it you mounted from the side but now I see it bolts to the top of the pan rail.

I do have the flywheel...

The torque wrench goes to 20 inch lbs then once the carrier is turning drops down to 14-16 inch lbs, does this sounds right?

Thanks guys, I did run a flat file across the center and both axle halve flanges and did turn up a hi spot or two from some previous to me chisel work.

It did take quite a bit of force removing...

After much double checking of everything, seeing nothing wrong and not wanting to use many many gaskets I threw caution to the wind and started cutting.

I took .010 off of each side of the carrier...

Thanks Marshall, I definitely plan on doing this though I thought I cleaned them very well the first time, maybe I missed something.

Easy enough to check and re clean. Heck who knows maybe there...
