I've ordered all the material to assemble an Art Newland-style pulley.
I'll waterjet the plate and bribe someone to turn the shaft and the bearing housing for me.....

Definitely a quick fix but not necessarily the best. Those smaller "water pump" sized bearings have a small dynamic load rating. I'll take the larger bearings with their 2146# load rating.
