The front oil pan/crank shaft cord seal is leaking. The pan is not a problem but the upper seal may be a problem. Any tricks to threading the cord up and around the shaft? I know chevy v8s were like...

I am doing a rebuild of a ford starter and have removed the 2 brushes that are held on by screws. Now the other 2 are crimped on by heavy duty tabs. What is the best way to bend these tabs back to...

I will take the thermostats out today (9/26) and see what happens. Can`t drive it yet, need to install the accelerator pedal.

The radiator is of the stock size as an original 32` would have. There are holes in the thermostats(thinking of taking them altogether. I am positive on the timing(2 degrees btdc). 30 degrees dwell....

Finally got the 59A started. The high idle problem was the throttle levers were sticking a bit. Got the timing and dwell set correctly. BUT the engine over heats quickly to over 240 degrees on both...

The previous owner of the engine saw it come out of a 47`truck. Its been under cover for several years and the oil still in the pan was clean. The intake was taken off the day before i picked it up...

There is a crack in the water jacket getting into the exhaust port. Can not get at it to repair. Bummer.
