That might be better to use a 2Gc carb for more drivability as well as fuel mileage. But the dual carbs makes it a Hot Rod.

OH!!! I had on of those, Had 16k miles on it, paid $100 bucks for it. Had to replace the engine. My Motjer liked it very much, It was like her second car. Interior was like new, Had 1942 plates on...

I used the 605 PS box Buick column and mad an adapter for the 70[s style pump. Got everything from a junk yard. The system is in my 47 KB1 with a 46/8 front axle ans suspension, Works pretty good....

The angle is so slight that I never gave it a thought. Probably the right thing to do, BUT???

OH! you might want to check piston to head clearance. You might have to Dermmel alittle clearance.

I think the .070" max was due to spark plug interference. Not sure. I\ve been working on a simple way to move the plugs, but not there yet?????

This is very easy after you do it several times. Measure the clearance above the valves when they are opem. Add .050" this is measured fron the deck. Now measure the deoth of the valve pocket....

I think tje 24 stud gasket will fit, but you have yo add some holes. That was along time ago.

Had a 37 engine bored to 3 3/16 and 8BA crank, L-100 cam and a 105 MPH speeding ticket. Just a good running engine in a Model A roadster.

Good for you Lawson, I quit when I was in my 60's, 2 packs a day. Not sure why I can still breath. But I have one more engine to go.

You can also contact Red's headers. He had the converson to convert the slinger style Block to the later rope style. I used this to install a late 8BA crank in a 37 block.

CONSIDERING THE FACT THESE NUMBERS ARE "factory" I'd refer you t jowl's book. The 239ci flathead had 79 HP, and nonmetered what you did to the 239 engine, hecouldn't get 100hp from it. so i doubt...

Some of the early aluminum heads were the "Denver" HI compression heads that had aprox one point higher than stock

I would like to build a street rod out of a 33/34 5 window coupe. 276ci engine AoD tarns IFS. and a few creacher comforts. Asa two seater it has a large trunk for travling.
