Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother.

That is a fine pair of trucks for sure. Could you share some information about the brake booster? I have been toying with the idea and would like to see how yours is set up. Thanks.

Re: Are these Ford doors?

Thank you all for your help. I should have known to look for the bug, but it never dawned on me. But I wasn't sure they were Ford parts either. I am a truck guy. They will be available sometime...

Are these Ford doors?

I'm trying to help a friend clear out a garage. There is a set of 4 doors that we can't identify. Someone suggested that they might be from a 1940 Ford. I'd appreciate your expert opinions about what...

Re: 1949 F-1 carb linkage trouble

Just to follow up, here is a report: I purchased an old stock re-manufactured carburetor 8RT-9510-A. It seems to be a perfect replacement. The throttle linkage attaching point is just a few degrees...

Re: 1949 F-1 carb linkage trouble

Thank you all for the replies. CM Bruce, I can't locate the post you refer to, but the linkage in Bob C's picture of the red engine especially looks like the ball is lower than mine. Ross, there is...

1949 F-1 carb linkage trouble

I am working on a 1949 F-1 V-8. It was restored about 30 years ago and used very lightly since. As far as I can tell it has been kept pretty much the way it was built. It has some issues that need to...

Re: 7-1/2 years later…my project is done.

Your truck looks great. Your time invested may keep the truck around for another hundred years. Hope you have plenty of time to enjoy driving it. Steve

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck

Chris, glad to hear that you have found the source of your anti freeze troubles. I would assume that you will want some type of anti freeze protection since you drive your truck more or less year...

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck

Chris, You already have several good leads on your coolant problem, if they don't solve the issue here is another idea. Is it possible that your anti freeze solution is foaming up at "higher "speeds...

Re: "Full floating axle" explained

In a full floating axle, the entire load is carried on the axle housing. There is no weight carried by the axle shaft. With a full floating axle, the axle shaft can be removed, and the vehicle can...

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck

David and Chris, Could it be possible that the slot was thought to be needed to allow for some give between the rigid frame mounted pedals and the rubber mounted engine. Perhaps it was later learned...

Hello Chris and all, this is my first post here on the Ford Barn. I registered after I stumbled on this thread. It is fantastic. I have just finished reading all 98 pages as though it was a new book...
