Re: Moto-meter flip cap gasket

I looked at 3 different places and came up empty today. The OD is 1 7/8”. Or I’m sure the equivalent metric would work as well. I found plenty with the right diameter but none thick enough.
I too...

Re: Gas pedal/accelerator linkage

Not 100 percent sure it’s a model A part. It bolts right on to the block just above the bell housing as it should. As mentioned the linkage works great.
Anyway, I just finished grinding it down...

Re: Rotor free play

Thanks for all the replies you guys. The engine is timed and runs very well.
I won’t worry about the position of the rotor as far as play goes once the engine is stopped.
Just one of those “but...

Re: Rotor free play

I didn’t describe that very well, the movement I see on the rotor is the movement of the play in the shaft. The rotor itself is snug on the cam.

Re: Rotor free play

Thanks for the reply guys.
I don’t think I was very clear with my question. I just want to know if there is a position that the rotor should be in when the car is turned off.
If the rotor moves...

Rotor free play

Hello gents.

Re: More powerhouse issues??

Sorry for the terminology here………so the “third brush” is the adjustable on the powerhouse …I know it’s defined as that on the autolite gens.

More powerhouse issues??

Hey guys….I’m still trouble shooting my Powerhouse gen.
I understand there should be no continuity from the terminal wire or post that exits the gen body to the case itself. But mine does.
I...

Re: Electrical gremlins

It looks like the mounting brackets are different from the powerhouse.
Will I need to do any mods to install the correct or non Powerhouse gen? Or should it bolt right in?

Thanks Rotorwrench. Again all good info. I’m torn because I’d actually like to keep the Powerhouse even though it’s not correct for my model year. From all I’ve read, they’re supposed to be a good...
