Amorall would be a big "no no" in my book. It's greasy and slippery and would get on the soles of your shoes with the potential of your shoes to slip off the clutch and brake pedals.

Another spot to check is your floor mat the rubber may may be causing the problem. Make sure there is plenty of clearance around where the pedal mounts to the floor.

I've had good luck using the caps from Napa Auto Parts. They are stainless with a rubber gasket. The only drawback is they have a flat spot on the top and you have to remove the decal on the flat...

Check e-Bay for "Ford script decals" There is one seller there who indicates they are for the 41 Ford hub cap. They seem a little pricey. Why not get some dark blue model paint and paint them...
