If the whole distributor is wobbling, I would suspect that either the distributor body or the opening in the head are worn, or both.

Before installing rings in an engine, always, always, measure and adjust (if needed) the end gap on ALL rings before installing them.
When measuring ring end gap, if it's too small one just files...

Steel washer should be special hardened washer, not your garden variety mild steel one.

If I was going to use the solenoid shut off valve I would put it under the dash, not in the engine compartment.

Model T tools generally start with a T prefix. I assume Model A are the same but don't know for sure.

This isn't a side bowl, but same problem. It was given to me broken, so I silver brazed it. Made a jig to hold the 2 parts in the proper relationship. Would look better if it was cleaned up and...

Problem is I don't have any old rods or otherwise to melt the babbit out of.

I know that the "no lead" plumbing solder is fairly hard compared to 50-50 or 60-40 solder.

Would modern "no lead" plumbing solder work for babbit bearing repairs? Can't find new babbit locally.
