1951 shoebox fuel tank

Ok good deal I might fill the tank with a mixture of new gas with some sea foam added to it. Or has anyone found a better way to clean the inside of a tank? If it's so bad I'll just get a new one

Just went out and dicked with the rotor and it started making contact (yay). Also noticed it wasn't pulling any fuel from the tank so pulled the push lock hoes off the steel fuel lines and stuck it...

Ok update.... went out and bought 12v battery 12 starter solenoid and she cranks continuously now, but won't fire up, I get 6v coming through the coil, through the coil wire into the distributor, but...

Ok thankyou, now what would happen if the generator on there rn is 6v and I hooked a 12v battery up? would the regulator blow? Since it's rated for 6v, do I need to buy a 12v regulator
