I put a new fuel pump on my 41 without putting the push rod in. Couldn't figure out why I wasn't gettin' gas. Duhh! Thing is I did it 2 different times.

My brother had the same problem some years ago. Couldn't find the leak until we took the starter off. And found a split in the engine block about 5 inches long. We used some type of silicone on it....
