rod nuts...why the odd size?
Removing the pistons on my engine became quite the job yesterday. Even had to cut one of the connecting rod nuts because I don't have the correct size socket it appears. 5/8 was too small and 11/16...

Linkage is 'buggered up', but that is definitely a jeep L head manifold set-up including Carter W-O carb. (civilian version). Would work on WWII MB/GPW, CJ2A, 3A jeeps...or PE95 generator for that...

What about friction shocks? They could replace the original, but are they good enough? I see them for sale in several places, as well as pics of them on modified A's such as speedsters....

I stand corrected...'change over to modern tube shocks' should be the title. Although I'd like originals, it wouldn't be worth the cost for me...a restored vehicle, definitely yes!

So, it sounds like the oil filled shocks are preferred. Are Ken Davis's shocks oil filled? Other vendors with oil filled shocks?
