If it's a clean car, I would buy it, an engine change is not hard on a 40, I have never even taken the hood off for engine changes; that's how easy they are. I would think it wouldn't even cost a lot...

What would be a good rear end ratio to run over the high cost of a Mitchell overdrive unit. This Rucker runs two Stromberg carbs and headers. Don't know anything else about the engine but it sounds...

I have had a few 40's myself and I have found that if you just push in on the side of the hood when it sets down that the hood settles in perfect.

I wish he would go and buy a street rod and leave this one for a fellow who would appreciate what they have. My 40 is a story like that, guy sold it to me and took a chance I wouldn't hot rod it....
