I fitted one to my 59a in my 32 roadster... ran perfect, just make sure you use the right coil, he leads etc.standard leads will not work properly.

I noticed your vids on the subject Mart.. the previous owner said that he drove it for miles and miles without any issues... he changed the voltage ref three times but it made no difference...

The motor is a 40/41 in a 32 roadster..I’m not sure of the pulley size, I’ll have to measure it. ... I am just mulling over the theory and wondered if a smaller pulley size would give enough extra...

I have a generator that only seems to put out 12.5v at higher revs.. during heavy traffic driving it hovers around 11/12v. If a smaller pulley was used would this give me the required voltage at...

Sorry I’ve no pictures but I fitted an old heater in my 36 Cabriolet... I mounted it on the raised centre section of the firewall. It was tight but I think it looked better centred than off to one...

They should be able to turn by finger pressure... if tight you can use a washer to fit in the slot to turn them.

Problem solved ... I fitted the new Stromberg and bought a Filter King regulator and gauge unit.... runs a treat now👍

The carb is one of Clive’s .
I’ve also ordered a fuel pressure regulator and gauge as the car has an electric fuel pump and I’m half convinced this may be part of the problem.

I did notice that the springs were weak or short as they didn’t seem to be doing much in the way of compressing.
I went though the plug leads today just to see if I’d missed something but all are...

The plugs are new( about 120 miles ago).. the soot was soft and just brushed of with a scotchbrite pad, so I doubt I’ve done any damage to them, likewise the distributor was fitted new at the same...
