Re: Where’s Paul Shinn?
ABSOLUTELY my feelings exactly. Thank you Ruth.
Some people spend way too much time watching Judge Judy. And then it spills over into their own lives. Let's ditch the legalese crap and get back...

Re: Would you restore a Model A today or not?
Good question. For a simple 'yes' or 'no' as you indicated I would have to lean towards 'no'. Not that I like the cars any less that's not it. It's a matter of money.
Hard to justify putting $65K...

Re: 41 starter issues
Had the same thing Walt described about foreign junk parts. Starter rebuilt by a shop that was SUPPOSED to be good. They did a lousy job. Worked all of maybe seven or eight times.

Re: Insurance?
Have both Grundy and Haggerty. Both good. Not really much difference. Grundy was ten bucks a year cheaper on the Model A than Haggerty, not enough difference to fret over. And yes, state by state...

Re: Dec. 7th comming up. who can remember ???
My concern also. This is just the beginning of bigger things to come. Not good.
I doubt if we have 'what it takes' to get thru really bad times like the WWII Generation did. Today too many folks...

Re: Light switch positions -steering wheel
I've done the yardstick trick Tom mentioned, works well.
And yes that little tool the Model A suppliers sell is great, cuts the job immensely and not as prone to lose your clip!

Re: Dec. 7th comming up. who can remember ???
Times three to what 5851a and Joe stated.
For love of our country, it scares the beejebbers out of me that the millenials don't know or care about U.S. History and what it means. They are not...

Re: Hershey theft
Thanks. People have told me I was stupid to do what I did, but my first instinct was to turn it back in. Never knew just how much cash there was but it was a big bundle:)
And when I get to that...

Re: Oil level
My thoughts exactly Mitch. If you watch the 1928 DVD from MAFCA, 'Selling Ford Service' (very good video by the way) watch what the dealer says to the fellow who just bought a new 1928 Tudor. He is...

Good point Chuck. One Christmas pre-season day I was at Walmart when the lady at the check out counter said 'Is that your money on the floor beside your foot?' I hadn't even noticed it. I looked...

Re: Oil level

We know about the dipper tray retaining half a quart and all, but what always puzzled me was, the...
