Re: Henry Ford Line 1

The Waltons never had any trouble getting three in their AA cab. We probably just eat too much now days.:)

Re: 30’s, 40’s, 50’s Records, slide reels, projectors

No interest here, so I gave them to a local Ford Dealership.

Re: Business coupe oval windows?

Re-read your first post. You said 28’s had oval windows.

Re: 1929 Model 'A' Toolbox (Wooden Kind)

I’ve never seen an original, but maybe it would have small leather straps with buckles? That would seem more period correct.

Re: 1929 Model 'A' Toolbox (Wooden Kind)

That looks like Velcro in the photo you posted, but there wouldn’t have been Velcro in the original tool kit.

Re: Do rivet nuts work?

Occasionally a rivnut will spin when trying to remove a bolt. You then have a fun situation, trying to remove it. If you have access to the bottom side, then it’s not bad. If it’s in a cavity, then...

Re: pinstripe line

I don’t think a brush could hold enough paint in the bristles to do the entire car without stopping. Maybe he used a rollerball striping tool?

Re: Model A Vendor

Renners Garage sends carb parts along with an invoice and you mail them a check. I couldn’t believe it the first time I ordered. Apparently Model A guys are pretty trustworthy, which is a great thing!

Re: Wood bleach (oxalic acid) rust remover

Oxalic acid is used by beekeepers to kill mites on the bees. It is vaporized in the hive and works great, especially when used during periods of low/no brood in the hive.

Re: Poll Re Driving Original Model "A"

I think it depends on where you live. A 10 lane highway vs a rural 2 lane road will create different challenges.

Re: Model AA Buses produced?? Surviving??

I’m guessing you will never get an answer to “how many were made”. You could contact Thomas Built Buses and Bluebird Corp, to see what records they might have. Most of the manufacturers are no longer...

Re: Model A Ford Sedan converted into a Railway Service Vehicle

Re: Chemical rust Remover

I would sand blast, media blast or use a coarse flapper wheel. Whoever sand blasts it, must not overheat and warp the metal.
