Re: Move A By Yourself
Lay a 2 inch wide nylon tow strap on the ground and roll one of the car tires over the strap. Bring the end of the strap over the top of the tire and gently pull forward (or back, if that's the...

Re: electrical charging problem
You will need an assistant...
Get the engine running on a fast RPM. Have your assistant watch the ammeter.
You take a short piece of wire and "jump" between the two terminals of your cutout. Be...

Re: electrical charging problem

Re: Phaeton top rest question
I'm glad to hear that, Rusty. If I did not leave my top props in all the time, I'd use those rubber plugs. I like to be able to drop my top at a moment's notice. After you've done it a few times, you...

Re: Idle Mixture Screw
My vacuum gauge doesn’t go to 50. I think it goes up to about 29 or 30.

Re: Phaeton top rest question
The following supplier has an extensive assortment of metal hole plugs. You can probably find one there that will work. I did not want to use metal because it will chip the paint at the edges of the...

Re: Phaeton top rest question
Yes. :)
I have copies of the original Ford blueprints where they struck out the Model T part number and put a Model A part number on it. Very interesting.

Re: Idle Mixture Screw
Idle mixture should be set with the engine fully warmed up and at normal low idle speed (~400-500 RPM). If you are not seeing any change with changing the mixture screw, your RPM is probably too...

Re: Fuse size
Well... "it depends".
If you are running a generator and you take your foot off the gas, step on the clutch (engine now at idle RPM), it is all coming from the battery.
Do this at night, with...

Re: radiator splashing
Yes, it had a baffle. When in place, you can't see the tubes in the top tank, they are under the baffle.
And Ford said to gently bend the overflow tub back toward the back of the filler neck. I...
