Re: Evans Aluminum Heads

I have an original set I’m planning to use for a 59AB in my 35. Anything I should know about these?
Really more for looks/nostalga rather than performance

Re: Front axle lowering brackets

Thank you, he’s still looking for the pair he stashed away. But if he can’t find them, I’ll have to see if I can locate some for him.

Front axle lowering brackets

My friend has misplaced his original Roof lowering brackets and is finishing his car out.
Does anyone make these in a reproduction?

Just looking for the front set

Re: 1924 transmission question

Well, I can push down on it and it turns slightly, but I can’t get the pin out of the grooves.
So I thought it might need a little more force than what I can put on it

Re: Need a copy of body mounts for 47 coupe

That takes all the fun out of it when you don’t get to eat the dirt and rust while working on it!

Re: Need a copy of body mounts for 47 coupe

The bolts are 5/16 x 24 I might try drilling on the two hardest to reach ones though. Otherwise it’s major surgery. The rest are not so bad.
But I’m not looking forward to the running board cage...

Re: What did you do today that was flathead V8 related?

Got the interior out and most of the floor cleaned up on the 47 Coupe. Just going to wire brush it, replace body seam caulking, and POR it.
Replacing body mounts at the same time.

Re: 47 brake springs too tight!

These are brand new wheel cylinders, so no bleeding. And the shoes are located in the wheel cylinder properly. Although they are hanging a little loose because there’s no spring pulling them towards...

47 brake springs too tight!

I weigh a tad over 200 pounds and with all my body force I still can’t get this spring within 2 inches of the brake shoe.
