Go lightly with a file, I used a tapered punch to align the holes, the bolt needs to be very tight or you will have a sloppy steering

Seal the threads on the studs on the end that goes in to the block, some holes may have broken into the coolant passages

My vacuum wiper supply line was a very small copper line, it cracked near the manifold and caused issues. I just removed the fitting into the manifold and plugged it !

Iron heads can seize also ! Seal the studs into the block, lather up the stud bodies with anti- seize, use iron or aluminum, a Ford fix for leaking Diesel cylinder head gaskets is to replace bolts...
