Re: Knocking. Valves?
If the ratchet nut bottoms out and the pully is loose, you need to fashion a washer to put between the nut and pulley.

When Zenith stopped making A/B Zenith carbs, Ford started suppling Tillotson and Marvel carbs as replacements, even assigning Ford part numbers to them.

Re: Removing stuck distributor and lower shaft

Re: Cowl lights
The cowl cross brace has a hole in that the cowl lamp nut goes thru. Buy the wood blocks the vendors sell and you can center the hole. They also sell a centering tool.

Re: What head is this?
The only time you know the compressor is running is by looking at the ammeter.
Ken Davis's kit is THE best, custom made to fit Model A's.

I've had an A/C in my slant Town sedan since 2010. Works great, and the car is cool in the CA summer heat.

Re: Universal Tires
I got 7,800 miles on my Universals on my 31 slant Town Sedan. The Goodyears lasted 14,500 before they were replaced last year. I now have European Classic so I'll see how long they last.
