Model TT truck Good morning,
A friend is dropping off a 1919 TT Truck for me to work on, my problem is it will not fit into my garage. Does anyone make a stand that I can use with my car dollies if I remove the wheels ? Any help would be appreciated. mike |

You can make wheel dollies that will support the frame from casters - wood - bolts .... You can try using commercial wheel dollies fastened to the drums - not sure how good that would work. Jim |
Re: Model TT truck Jim,
Ok thank you, mike |
Re: Model TT truck Im just thinking outside the box, but couldnt you make 4 round discs out of 2 inch wood and put them on the axles.

... but just big enough to have the oilpan clear the floor! ws |
Re: Model TT truck Why don't you put the dollies on the rear drums and on the front axle?

Re: Model TT truck I let a little air out of the tires and it fit into garage, tight but it is in. I don't like jack stands and wheel dolly combo, I saw a close call when a Model A almost fell off the stand/dolly.

Re: Model TT truck Mike, it would probably be a good idea to remember to drain some air out of the tires before you exit the garage when you are finish with the repairs.
Something like that is easy to forget. Maybe a note taped to the steering wheel? |
Re: Model TT truck Thank you, yes I did just that, sticky notes everywhere

Re: Model TT truck I have seen plywood disc "wheels" bolted on.

Re: Model TT truck You may be able to use Hillman roller bearing skates. One under each brake drum:
