"FORD" plinth on 47/48 trunk.

I may have asked this question on this site before and someone has given me an answer but I have lost it or deleted the e-mail l. So I'm sorry if anyone recognizes this request or thinks "Oh I have answered this one before".

Can anyone tell me the exact mounting point on the trunk for the "FORD" plinth. I need to drill the holes as the lid is off a 46?

A measurement from the top edge of the trunk lid to the "point" on the top of the plinth would be useful. This is for a coupe/conv lid

Thank you

I just measured mine like you said and it's 23 1/4".

Re: "FORD" plinth on 47/48 trunk.

These are the hole measuremnts taken off the outside of my 47 convertible deck/trunk lid for mounting the Ford emblem.
All measurements are to the center of the hole in inches starting from the left (drivers) side.
The first 3 measurements are from the top lip down to hole:
left hole - 24 1/8 , center hole - 24 3/8 , right hole - 24 1/4 .
The next 3 measurments are from the left side of the lid thru the center of all three holes:
left hole - 13 1/2 , center hole - 23 3/8 , right hole - 34 3/16.

Hope this helps

There were only 2 studs on my emblem which had been poorly repaired before I got the car , one broke off this summer. I understand this is a problem with these emblems?
Any suggestions on a good way to repair?

I've used silicone gasket sealer to glue emblems on.
Down side is they're a bitch to get off without screwing them up.
