electric fan for '46 coupe I have a '46 Ford coupe that was given to me by my mom and I would like to put an electric fan in it. Looking for some suggestions. It has a ~300hp carburated chevy 327 in it. It currently runs a little warm, especially at idle, due to not having a fan shroud and I think I would be better off just switching to an electric fan instead of trying to build a shroud. I was also thinking that the radiator might even be too small but I think trying a new fan setup first is the best idea.

Re: electric fan for '46 coupe Whats a little hot. Is the engine bored out. I have a 327 .060 over and runs 210 220 at 7 lbs. in the radiator. It idles the same as it runs at 90 degrees outside. If it doesn't boil over leave it alone. Jim.T.

Re: electric fan for '46 coupe I've saw it up to around 240 when it was left to idle for 20 minutes. I would imagine the engine is bored since it was rebuilt and had some goodies put into it.

Re: electric fan for '46 coupe Use a Cooling Components electric fan. They come with their own shroud.
