Value of my 27 runabout I ended up with my Grandfathers 27 T runabout (roadster) and really need a ball park figure of its value. The body is pretty beat up but its all there. Engene is out of car but will go with it plus a ton of parts but this project would need a total restoration....

Re: Value of my 27 runabout Honestly, with todays market, depending on whats there, you may be looking at $500-1500. Does it roll? Is there any paint left? How rusty (rusted out). Any upholstery left, Glass? Tires? Top & bows? Extra parts?Your question is really open ended.
Post some NON CAMERA-PHONE pics here and youll get a much more concise appraisal. Being a model A guy you must realize this. ws |
Re: Value of my 27 runabout I will work on photos this weekend! Thank you and please stay tuned!

Re: Value of my 27 runabout Use tinypic.com, grab a file pic, upload, copy and paste "message board" size here... ws
http://i50.tinypic.com/fjjip2.jpg Is there a trunk lid on that turtle deck? That can be a $300 item if its really nice. From the miniscule pic posted ; if its really complete, probably reaching the $1500 mark; matching motor and fram numbers? WAYYY better, and if thats the case with no title, it would be well worth it to go through all the BS of having the state retitle it. If not, it would be a shame to buy a title with different numbers on it. My jalopy came from a pile af parts with no title... that a whole different story. ws |
Re: Value of my 27 runabout Mine was a rust free 26/27 Roadster out of Salt Lake City and I paid $2500 for it. Mine was a wire-wheeled car with a title, though. I felt like I got a very good deal. The only thing mine was missing was the deck lid. That's proved to be a tough find.

Re: Value of my 27 runabout Thats so weird too ya know?
i had a 27 coupe that was intact (but apart) and was missing a trunk hinge and holder upper. The 26- 27s are different as are the roadsters and coupes. I think there was lots of subtle oddities towards the end before the A's came into being... ws |
Re: Value of my 27 runabout Still have not had luck getting more photos to go....this car is for sale. Send a message if you are looking and can provide me an e-mail as I can send photos and more info.

Re: Value of my 27 runabout Brent,
I think I saw one last night on craigslist. I look again and let you know if it was the right deck lid. Larry |
