Re: engine cradle from Stumpysfabworks They look sharp, I could use a set myself, can you provide his contact information? By the way, I love the gold Flathead. Vic

Re: engine cradle from Stumpysfabworks Kurt's web site is: http://stumpysfabworks.zoomshare.com/ As you can see I got the casters too, makes it a snap to move around. On his site he has a contact link and just shoot him an email. The cradle was $45 and casters $40 plus shipping, well worth it and like I said, made in the USA:D

Re: engine cradle from Stumpysfabworks Vic, forgot to say thanks on the comment for the engine, I really like the gold color too. I think when the car is done in the deep blue color its going to look sweet! Still have to do some work on the motor, new clutch and install skips waterpumps and then it will be a waiting game for the car to get painted!

Re: engine cradle from Stumpysfabworks I purchased his engine stand adapter and am very pleased....highly recommend his work...rock solid!!

Re: engine cradle from Stumpysfabworks 13 Attachment(s)
Guy's, I think Stumpy copied my design ;) and is now getting rich while I try to peddle old rusted Ford V8 pieces and parts for pennies on the street corners of Rising Sun, MD :D;);) LOLOL
Check it out.... I made this stand about twelve years ago from "scrap" parts being discarded by my previous employer . Now, if my previous employer only knew what a machinist friend of mine threw into the scrap bin while I waited near by to hear the sound of that "scrap" hitting the bin, and within seconds I salvaged those nice scrap CNC machined parts that just happened to be exactly like my detailed sketches :D. Those expensive wheels with locks were also declared scrap as well by another coworker/friend and they just happened to fit perfectly....oh how I miss the good Ole days of being gainfully employed ;) NOT!! The engine in these pictures was originally built for a '35 tudor sedan but instead now resides in my '35 fordor sedan and is running nicely (knock on wood) :) but with future plans/hopes of some day switching it back to the original engine that was pulled from the fordor because it become a very heavy smoker (approx. equivalent to 10 packs of non filtered Camels/day ;)) |
Re: engine cradle from Stumpysfabworks Lookin' good John, now I think I'll need two of the engine stands...
|
Re: engine cradle from Stumpysfabworks That is some really nice looking scrap! Beautiful job.
