Rear Wheel bearing removal Is there an easy way of removing the lock ring that holds the grease seal and bearing in the rear hub? Thanks all, Al

Re: Rear Wheel bearing removal A couple of thin blade screwdrivers and good eye protection
Take small 'bites' with the screwdrivers and slowly work it out of the groove Good Luck |

Re: Rear Wheel bearing removal To remove the lock ring, I just knock the seal down a bit, and grab one end of the ring with a needle nose plier. They come out real easy! The seal is a bit more work though, I have a cut off axle that I drop in the hole to below the level of the seal, and then use a crow foot pry bar. That is the easiest way I have found, less than 5 minutes for locking ring and seal.
