GPS coordinates

Just been looking at the no-ethanol list of stations. Each station shows GPS co-ordinates. Can someone tell me how to enter them on a Garmin 255W navigator please.

Bagpiper,
I found the 255w manual on line and was going to copy the page that tells you how to enter coordinates, but they seem to be password protected and I can't do it. Do a Goggle search for Gamin 255W manual. You can download the pdf file. Page 11 will tell you how to enter coordinates.

Re: GPS coordinates

Entering Coordinates:

If you know the geographic coordinates of your destination, you can use your Nuvi to navigate to your destination using the latitude and longitude coordinates. This can be especially helpful when geocaching.

1. Touch Where to? > (then) Coordinates.
2. Touch a box to enter a coordinate.
3. Touch Format to change the type of coordinates. Because different Maps and
charts use different coordinate formats, the nuvi allows you to select the correct
coordinate format for the type of map you are using.
4. Enter the coordinates, and touch Next.

* From the Garmin Company Website.

Simple huh? I'm going to get my Garmin and try it.
Good Luck,
Jon

Re: GPS coordinates

Anybody who is into Geocaching (geocaching.com) will know how to enter coordinates on their GPS. Now only good for finding Geocaches but also good to use as a map if you have you topographical maps enter. We used ours on the way to the Model A meet in Dallas in 2008 travelling from Ontario, Canada. We have a handheld Garmin Oregon 450

Being a '29 Tudor owner, I didn't think the question was out of line. For those who offered help, thank you.

No, the question was not out of line. It just struck me as funny in a Model A forum. I own 2 GPS's.
