model a parts search ..multi adds gone!

Yesterday I was fed up with E-Bay and all the Trash multi adds when I looked for model a parts.
What I did was click on the item, then it says on there "Report" so I reported them as multi listings.
As of 6am this morning there all gone!!!
I hope this will last,it will be great for all of us when we search for Model A parts.

I sold some stuff on ebay, I bought One item. To buy it, I signed with Paypal. Fifteen years ago! I have not used ebay or Paypal since. In October 2011, I got a paypal Credit card (which I never wanted) and never activated. January 27, three things were purcased with this card,. On January 28 alarge purchase was made in my name for the remaining balance of the card. I've been trying to get this cleared up. I can not get in touch with with anyone at Ebay or Paypal, some indians in India, yes! But no American excutives in Ebay or paypal. The attorney General of NJ is next. Screw Ebay!

Wow, Terry...that's rotten! I've been using Ebay for over 11 years without so much as a late shipment. I also use Paypal for many non-auction payments outside of ebay. So far, knock on wood, I've gotten good service out of them, also. Guess I've just been lucky.

Re: model a parts search ..multi adds gone!

When you do a search just type in
-fits
at the end of you search, it will filter out all of the items that say
fits in their title.
This will generally get rid of most of the seat covers, floor matts, carcovers ect

If you add -matchbox, that gets rid of a bunch more

Thanks Wick! It's really nice. Why didn't we do this before?

Terry, next time you get an overseas operator, ask for someone in the US. Federal law states they have to connect you back to the offices in the country of origin. If they don't connect you call the attorney generals office.

James,

I mean no disrespect by this but...can you back that up with a reference? I have often wondered about this and have never been able to find any actual law pertaining to it. All I have been able to find is that call centers for regulated businesses, such as mortgages etc must be done on US soil.

I know there have been attempts in the past to create laws similar to what you suggest but most of them have never gone anywhere.

There was a widely circulated chain letter a couple years back saying what you said and because of it, it actually forced a lot of businesses to create policy to transfer customers back to the US simply because people believed what they read in the email and were adamant they talk to a person in the US because it was "law" and it was just easier for the companies to appease the customers instead of angering them.

There was an article on ABC the other day about this. Seems that it is more expensive for them to have to run the call to India then have to re-route it back to the US when this law is invoked so the companies are beginning to use tech support stateside. Next time you have to make a call to any tech support and you get someone you cannot understand or you can tell is in another country, try it. What do you have to lose? I figure it this way, it don't matter why they do it as long as it creates jobs here (so far 100,000 according to ABC) and they do it

One way to bring jobs back to America. Don't complain, try it.
