Where to determine restored value on my '32 BB truck?? I just FINISHED restoring my Dad's '32 BB Truck:), and need to find some affordable antique insurance, but of the 2 companies that I contacted today, neither could give me a value on this restored 1 1/2 Ton truck. Any suggestions on where to arrive at a fair market value today? As for insurance, I'll probably put less than 100 miles a year, driving in local parades or Church functions, so any cost-saving ideas would be greatly appreciated. Dave
PS- First sunny day, I'll take some 'finished' photos, so you guys can see my labor of love! |
Re: Where to determine restored value on my '32 BB truck?? Will this help?
http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43710 Google "1932 Ford Model BB truck" and info. will help determine value. Also, look in Hemmings to see what they are selling for. I think after 25K most companies want an appraisal. If it's in great condition I would insure it for at least $20-24K (Agreed value). |
Re: Where to determine restored value on my '32 BB truck?? I think you should focus on "Agreed Value". Call Collector Car Insurance compnaies that offer this and then compare rates for best deal. If you feel $35K is the number (more? less?) - that is what they will quote for.:D

Re: Where to determine restored value on my '32 BB truck?? Try Haggerty, I have 3 vehicles with them. They require pictures & can help you with agreed value. Hagerty.com.

Re: Where to determine restored value on my '32 BB truck?? when I contacted Hagerty about my 41 truck they asked if I had receipts for the parts I bought, as a rule of thumb add these up and then at least double it, trucks are hard to put a value on, not much market in the past but now I don't know, seems like everywhere I go, someone wants to buy my truck
