Real Old School 34

My brother built this 34 in 1956, I finally pressured him into getting it out of storage. We drove it to "Bact to th 50's" this last June. He gave it a tune up, new brakes, tires and a battery. Has an Olds motor and hydro, 49 Ford rear, and 46 ford front brakes. Just like he built it in 1956. Thought you might enjoy some OLD SCHOOL HOT RODDING

Tim, that's a beauty, reminds me of back in the 50's. I used to use those Olds engine for a few yr's. That looks like 56-57 rockers covers. the 56 engine was 324 ci and the 57 went to 371 ci. The 57 came out with 3 carbs. Wicked torque. I went through 5 stock 39 trans in 6 month with a 324 Olds in a 39 tudor. Back then you could buy the trand for 5 bucks. Walt

Had a 55 324 cu in in my 32 5W mated to a 39 box, 11" ford truck clutch, 10 1/2" disc, hyd clutch, ansen pedals thru the dual gm M/C. Did this when I was 16 and got most of my info from the "little" books, which are up in the attic. I "lost a few gears also, but only one axle key. Picked up a 40 coupe also with an Olds, 39 tran combo right after I got out of the service in 69. Had the 32 and the 40, for a winter "crasher" I picked up a 64 Impala 2 dr h/top. A gone now, who knew??
Those were the days.
