Maybe the new type face is too small for him to read.

Just need to increase zoom level.

Talked to him

Ron is having trouble finding his way around with his bad vision. His grandson is going to give him a hand. I hope it will be easier for him when he gets used to the place. Bill

Re: Paging Ol' Ron

He is for sure within the top two suppliers of good information on Fordbarn V8. We need to fly out a delegation to get him set up on the new computer stuff.
I have a television set based magnifier that would allow him to read micrometers and printed sources greatly enlarged and shown on the TV...I think for his sort of vision, distance vision works better than near even without the enlargement issues. Is there anyone up there by the North Pole that could help him set up such a rig??

Re: Paging Ol' Ron

I just got on today! I have been reading the Fordbarn for about 2 years now. Old Ron helped me quite a bit with emails and posts on the Fordbarn while I was building my first flathead. He and many others out there have been more than willing to go out of their way to help guys just getting into these old engines. I am sure he will be on the "new" site soon.

I'll shoot a mutual friend an e-mail and see if he's thawed out yet, it's still Mud-Season up there.

Re: Paging Ol' Ron

I might have missed it... I've had 164 private messages since then... And I recently emptied my box. Sorry. Can you resend it?

Re: Paging Ol' Ron

The "Barn" just wouldn't be the same without guys like Ol' Ron, a wealth of information and a pretty sharp wit to boot. Perhaps he's knee deep cookin' Chili for the New England Fordbarn tour? I'm not sure if his location is a scheduled stop or not? get the search party out and round him up for us. We miss him! LouB.
