Restoring paint

My 1929 Model A Fordor has paint from over 50 years ago with little cracking or peeling. In general it is in pretty good shape, however, it shows its years. What is the best approach for restoring the shine and bringing out the best in an old paint job?

Re: Restoring paint

Generally speaking, the paint is probably lacquer and has had some of the oils evaporate over time. It used to be that we would Meguiars H7 to restore those oils but that product has been superceded by several other types of paint cleaners & rejuvenators. I suggest you look at the Meguiars website and see what they offer. Then top it off with a good Carnuba wax.
