Yes, when I first wrote the book I sent many to Australia and England as well as Germany. Maybe they like the chili recipe.

Ol'Ron are we saying you have a cook book out there, or a book of some sort? What is the name of it, if it's published.

Thanks,
Pete

Yep, still making Rons chilli recipe. Actually made some up in a crock pot and took it with us when we went shooting, way out in the bush, in Western Australia. We had it for dinner along with some potato salad. Went shooting, came back to the hut and downed a few beers around the fire, with my son and his buddy,,, cant get much better than that.

I'm glad to see I did something right. Watch out for those cams.

Is the recipe in the original book? I'll pull it off the shelf and look. I don't remember it. Love to try it, though.

Where can I find the book? I looked at Amazon.com, etc.......

The book is one of the very best, and would be an excellent "desert island" only book...it contains both basics of overhaul and good souping stuff. The chili is an extra feature...

Re: Ol'Ron is getting more famous

4tford, Bill boomer has the right to my book now. No the chili recipe isn't in the original book as well as the practical Flathead. While I'm at it. John Lawson's book "Flathead facts" is in my opinion the best flathead book ever written. He combines modifications with dynometer test to prove or dis prove their worth. For example: does dualexhaust with headers improve HP? The answer might surprise you.

Thanks for the vote on my book, Ron. I appreciate that you have the wisdom to sort hype and BS from hard facts. A commodity in short supply these days.

You did what I wanted to do, but didn't have the funds or the knowledge you put forth in an effort to do an honest investagation of the Flathead itself and the popular modifications most everybody considers the "Right" way to do it. I learned allot.
Thanks John
