My 32 Truck

Some of you would have seen this on the Hamb already. Picked it up this week about 2 hours north of where I live. A sweet old original truck. In pretty good shape. I'm thrilled to have it.

I have to put juice brakes in it. I just doesn't stop worth a darn. Its already got a new muffler. Carb kit, new rad hoses, and motor mounts this weekend. Other than that drive it as is for awhile. Its just too cool to change right now.

2 hours north of the city I live in which is in Alberta ;)

And besides we get almost 2 months of good driving weather then 10 months of really good ski doo weather!

Kevin she,s awesome , but before you go to the trouble & expense of juice brakes , a redo of your rod brakes & add some of Flathead Teds floaters with everything adjusted correctly they will stop her as good as hydraulic brakes.
Cheers

I like it. Put the juice brakes on it like you said and drive it. I'm planning on doing the same with my dad's truck.

Kevin,

Have you adjusted the brakes according to the Service Bulletins? You should get a copy of the service bulletins if you don't already have one.

Re: My 32 Truck

I will admit I haven't tried adjusting the existing brakes yet. Guess I could try that first.

Re: My 32 Truck

Kevin,

Just a random thought. You might want to find a fuel pump rebuild kit designed for this new gas and put it on the shelf (or maybe a complete Pump). It is something you will probably need.

Be sure to check out Renner's Corner (734) 428-8424 for parts. They are small and don't advertise but have a few unique '32 parts and services (maybe the fuel pump rebuild kits). I notice that ken ct, 1-203-260-5945 cell email [email protected], also rebuilds pumps. Either of these sources might have the correct rebuild kits.

Re: My 32 Truck

Thanks for the info Charlie. All it has right now is a 6 volt electric fuel pump, which works good but looks a little out of place.

Nice find Kevin. Don't change it too much. Neat as it is. I agree on just adjusting the brakes according to the service manuals.

I have a question pertaining to the color of this PU, Were they painted from the factory with all one color or were the fenders black like on the model A's?
