water pump bearing sleeve

Anyone have any insght on removal of water pump bearing sleeve?
I was thinking of using a tap to screw into it and pull it out?? Thoughts? new ideas welcome/needed.

If you are talking about the one for the front bearing, it is quite easy to remove. It has a split in it so that aids in the removal. I usually just use a small punch and catch the grease hole in the sleeve and tap it out.
