Model A Shocks
 

Iam rebuilding some Model A shocks need help Identifying Clock Wise parts from Counter Clock Wise parts .

look close at the outer casing there is a mark ac and cw ac of course anti clock and cw well you get it,

The shocks go in certain place on your car in a x pattern i would have to look it up unless someone will post it .


There is a video that help me put out by a model a club in California think there called dimo not sure but this video will help

It is the check valves that determine which shocks work clockwise or counter. The check valves close on the down stroke so that there is more resistance on the down stroke.

What fluid should I use in filling my shocks? The article just says "Use Genuine Houdille Fluid only"

any of the vendors have the oil needed.

There appears to be a few incorrect listings for the 28-31' shocks and parts in this Houdaille Manual shown in the provided link.
