Model T rust issue

1 Attachment(s)
I had a radiator leak for a period of time (now resolved), but it left some rust issues as seen in the picture. What’s the best way to deal with this? Do I need to blast and repaint, or can just sand and do the same? What’s the best way forward? Amateur enthusiast here. Thank you in advance!

The spring should be disassembled, cleaned of old paint and corrosion using the best method available to you, then refinished, lubricated, & reassembled. Wire brushes may work as well as grit blasting depending on access to equipment such as grit blast. I use glass beads on what ever fits in my cabinet. If the radiator coolant doesn't get on it the moisture from the road will eventually.
