32-34 pickup cowl vent screen fitment?
 

Can I get some pictures of how the cowl vent screen is installed on a 32-34 pickup? Does it clip on from underneath or drop into hole from the top?

The only place I’ve seen one for sale was on Joes antique Ford website and I can’t see buying one for $55. Might try to make one. Anyone had success in fabrication of one?

First, iirc, Ford did not supply a cowl vent screen in 1932 or 1933 and 1934 trucks. That is an aftermarket screen.


Second, there are two variations of cowl vents used in 1932. One version is absolutely not compatible with that screen, the other might be (though your results may vary). See the Early V8 club 1932 book by Dave Rehor (rip... we miss you already) for details. As with anything Ford did that involved a "running change" early parts could show up on later vehicles at random.

Karl is correct about the screens for '32,'33 and '34 trucks.
