37 Ford Pickup Radiator

I'm restarting a restoration project that has been on hold since 2009. It was a basket case so many parts were missing. My dad and I completed the frame and drive train back then and we started on the cab when he passed away. Things have been topsy turvy since then but now I need to get back to it. By the way the engine is not original but is an 85 hp with 59A-B heads.

I have a decent one with 77D code on the tank from a swap meet several years ago. I also have an 81C code radiator that appears to be 1 inch shorter but is in rough shape. I'm reluctant to have either rebuilt unless I know it will fit correctly.

I hope to connect with those of you who are experienced with the 37 pickup and advise on the correct radiator and hopefully other details along the way.

Try sending a personal message to v8fordman here on Fordbarn. He has both 37 and 39 pickups. I do not personally think that a 39 radiator will work on a 37 pickup because the radiator filler on the 37 pickup comes out through the top of the grill and the 39 is under the hood. That may explain the height difference. Good luck with your project.

Lee at Brassworks may be able to provide some details on fitment.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. Am new to Fordbarn so I'll need to figure out how to navigate the site to send a personal message. Also am not fluent in the shorthand lingo (PM?).

PM means a private message. Click on the poster's name which opens a new window and gives you the option to send that person a private message.

Thanks Tom for the tip and for confirmation that 77D is the correct code for the 37 Ford Pickup radiator.
