1935 pickup spare tire mount

Have 1935 pickup spare tire mount someone cut off part of end that attaches to triangle plate. .Is there anyone that could give me the length from the base of mount to the triangle plate? Maybe use string or wire laid on top of rod so i could duplicate measurement? Thanks

The pictures shown are not for a 35-half ton. The 35 spare holder rod is a one-year item and was used with the 35 wire wheel with the small bolt pattern. The one shown is for a 36 and 37 and went with the wide-five bolt pattern wheel. The 38 and 39 are different yet again.

Re: 1935 pickup spare tire mount

Yeah thats why im trying to save mine. Somebody welded a rectangle piece of metal on top of the round rod that connects to triangle plate. The rod must have broke off by the plate why they didnt weld the round rod back on i dont know. Looking for over all length of rod so i can weld a piece back on. I probably could figure out by mocking up tire and doing some measurements. It would be easier if some one could give measurement.

I am enclosing pictures of the carrier from my 36 pickup. As the box and running board are the same I believe that parts would be correct with the exception of the part that the wheel bolts to. Any pictures I have seen indicate this. IMHO. I could not verify this in the Green parts book.

Other than the pictures I took of measurements, the rest of my explanation is probably "hogwash" LOL

Yes, this spare mount is from a '36 half-ton pickup. I had a 1936 half-ton pickup dealer demo with DUAL spare tire Ford mounts - one mount per each side - and Ford indent in each rear fender.

Do you mean -- indent in each running board?
