It has a 9" Ford rear. Should be able to handle the HP:D

OMG! I didn't catch that!
Here's something they SHOULD have changed: It still has the '38 ratcheting hood prop.

My gosh, I just noted it's backed by a C4 automatic. I wonder how many minutes it takes to get through an intersection.
Zero to sixty? Sometime today. Maybe.

No kidding.

Can't help but wonder; a lot of detail; but a rusty master cylinder front & center. That has to make a "good" impression; not to mention those poorly bent brake lines attached to it.

Re: Interesting...

I completely understand keeping a 60 in a vehicle that originally had one if a person was doing a correct restoration. But once you start 'customizing' and 'modernizing', the gloves are off! It's time to get real under that hood. And lose the chrome wheels while yer at it....

You guys are obviously missing the performance enhancing dual carburetors.:D

One of my very talented friends made a v8 60 motorcycle. Not a kit, he made it all.

The kits mostly use a variable sheath drive, like a snomobile, he had the ford 3 speed.

It was very cool, a good use of the lil' v8. sorry, no pics

Re: Interesting...

for the 9" rated 60HP less 12% to turn the 9" don't leave much less another 25% for the auto

Harsh crowd.
If you look at ALL he pics, you can see the owner having fun with his old truck. What's wrong with that?
Isn't that what we are trying to do?
It did have a Chevy 350 so the swap was a conscious choice.
Mart.

Good news is if you needed to work on it, you could stand inside the engine bay and get clear access to everything. LOL!

Cas, a friend of mine, Dan, did that same thing within a Harley. It appeared as if the factory built it that way. Slow as heck but COOL!!!
And yes, the Ford transmission as well...

High bid is $15,500 and hasn't met reserve. That firewall mounted master cylinder is a total "turn off" for a lot of potential buyers.

Re: Interesting...

Saw that listed and thought the warning sign was probably appropriate, if not a little scary. I understand the premise of putting a 60 back in but the drivability seems questionable.

This was posted on another conversation and indicated the figures are from Car Craft magazine;
Powerglide_____18 hp
TH-350________36 hp
TH-400________44 hp
Ford_C-6______55-60 hp
Ford_C-4______28 hp
Ford_FMX______25 hp
Chrysler_A904__25 hp
Chrysler_727___45 hp
