Wind wings I read somewhere that 'wind wings' were only on open cars but a fellow A owner at a recent tour event has them on a Fordor and they looked good. I asked about the open car only question and he insisted that they were a common option on closed cars as well. TRUE/FALSE?

Re: Wind wings I don't believe they were a Ford option on any closed car.

Re: Wind wings Maybe not a Ford option but there are a "Snyders option".

Re: Wind wings Your friend has been reading too many Floyd Clymer "Fractured Fairy Tales" books about Model A's.

Re: Wind wings 7 Attachment(s)
Ford definitely did offer wind wings for closed cars. Ford called them draft deflectors. Many other companies also offered them as an accessory at the time.

Re: Wind wings Possibly, but now we're talking dealer-installed or aftermarket windwings for closed cars, not factory-installed, which is the yardstick for measuring what was and what wasn't included on Model A's when they rolled off the assembly lines.
